2001 marked the joyful launch of my children’s book career, and it’s only grown more exciting from there. Over time, I pulled together everything I’d learned and shaped it into a single creative vision. I became author, illustrator, letterer, character designer, colorist, storyboarder, and logo designer—all in one.
But more than just making books, I get to build whole worlds, champion ideas I believe in, and do whatever it takes to bring stories to life in the most vibrant way possible.
Even with the support of editors, art directors, and marketers, I’m constantly refining the work—shaping the language for the right age group, balancing the humor, and making sure the characters feel alive and memorable. There are a lot of moving parts, but that’s what makes the process so rewarding!
I’ve worked on many books as both illustrator and author/illustrator with over 20 different publishers. Along the way there have been awards, out-of-print titles, and so many incredible lessons learned. Browse the covers below and see if you recognize any!
