The Entire Collection!
As a children’s book creator, I wear a lot of hats—author, illustrator, letterer, character designer, colorist, storyboarder, and logo designer. I’m not just making books; I’m developing ideas, championing projects, and doing whatever it takes to bring them to life.
Even with the support of editors, art directors, and marketers, I’m constantly refining the work—shaping the language for the right age group, balancing the humor, and making sure the characters feel alive and memorable. There are a lot of moving parts, but that’s what makes the process so rewarding.
Over the years, I’ve worked on many books as both illustrator and author/illustrator with major publishers and smaller presses alike. Many projects made it all the way to shelves, others stopped just short, and along the way there have been awards, out-of-print titles, and so many incredible lessons learned.
