Short Bio
Ethan Long is an award-winning children’s book author, illustrator, and Emmy-nominated creator of animated and digital series. His work includes Scribbles and Ink (PBS KIDS and Epic!), Tasty Time with ZeFronk on Disney Junior, and over 140 books including the Geisel Medal-winning Up! Tall! and High! He is also an art and literary agent and lives in New York City.

Ethan Long is an award-winning and internationally recognized creator of children’s content working across books, television, and digital media. He is the creator of the Emmy-nominated Scribbles and Ink, available on PBS KIDS and Epic!, and the Emmy-nominated short-form series Tasty Time with ZeFronk on Disney Junior. His work also includes the animated short Farm Force: Send in the Clones, which won the Nicktoons Viewer’s Choice Award.
In publishing, Ethan is the author and/or illustrator of more than 140 children’s books, including Fright Club, Chamelia, Tickle the Duck, and the Geisel Medal-winning Up! Tall! and High!. He has also illustrated major series such as Stick Dog by Tom Watson and Good Night, Good Night, Construction Site by Sherri Duskey Rinker.
Beyond creating stories, Ethan works as an art and literary agent, helping other creators develop and share their work. He lives in New York City.
Long Bio
Ethan Long is an award-winning and internationally recognized creator of children’s content whose work spans books, television, digital media, and character development. Over a career of more than three decades, he has built a body of work that blends humor, visual storytelling, and imaginative world-building across multiple platforms.
He is the creator of the Emmy-nominated Scribbles and Ink, an integrated game and video series available on PBS KIDS and Epic!, which also exists as a successful digital and book series. In television, Ethan created and executive produced Tasty Time with ZeFronk, an Emmy-nominated animated short-form preschool series that aired on Disney Channel and Disney Junior. His animated short Farm Force: Send in the Clones won the Nicktoons Viewer’s Choice Award.
In publishing, Ethan is the author and/or illustrator of more than 140 children’s books. His titles include Fright Club, Chamelia, Tickle the Duck, One Drowsy Dragon, Big Cat, Pug, and Give Me Back My Book. His Geisel Medal-winning book Up! Tall! and High! is among his most recognized works. He has also contributed illustrations to major series including Stick Dog by Tom Watson and Junior Monster Scouts by Joe McGee, as well as the best-selling Good Night, Good Night, Construction Site board book series by Sherri Duskey Rinker.
His work continues to reach audiences globally across books, apps, and screen-based storytelling, often blending humor and character-driven narratives for young readers.
Beyond his creative work, Ethan also works as an art and literary agent, helping other artists and authors develop their ideas and connect them with publishers and producers. He is passionate about supporting creative voices and shaping projects from early concept through publication or production.
Ethan lives in New York City, where he continues to create, collaborate, and explore new storytelling ideas.
