What Next?
I’ve always been someone who looks ahead. Even in the middle of multi-book productions, there’s usually another idea waiting in the wings…something I’m excited to explore next. There are so many ideas and only so many hours in the day.
I’d love to write another middle grade novel, or maybe even a book for adults centered around creativity. I still have dreams of being an animation showrunner, though that ship may have sailed. Time will tell. There will certainly be more Scribbles and Ink books for as long as I feel inspired to make them.
The future can really be anything I want it to be, as long as it’s something that genuinely excites and inspires me along with people that I love working with. After all these years, it still feels like I’m writing the next chapter as I go. For now, I’m focused on the projects already in production and making them the best they can possibly be.
I’m not usually one for wish lists, but maybe it’s worth putting a few goals out into the world and seeing what happens.
As of May 28, 2026, I would like to:

Help our agency clients become full-time independent artists.
Be an animation showrunner for my own series.
Become a board member of the Society of Illustrators in NYC.
Create and fund an annual student scholarship at Ringling College of Art and Design.
Create and fund an annual creator scholarship with SCBWI.
Write another middle grade novel.
Write a book for adults centered around creativity.
Finally get a Wikipedia page. I’ve tried and tried again. A little help here!
